The Programme

The Manager as Coach programme is a training workshop to kick-start the coaching practices initiative within your organisation and encourage managers to be confident and capable coaches for their teams. The programme covers how coaching can be used as part of a wider strategy to develop the talent pool within the organisation.

Each manager gets the experience of their own coach to both demonstrate the value of coaching and provide support to managers practising coaching.

Outcomes

Participants Will

• Learn the benefits of coaching as a leadership practice and how they demonstrate competence as internal coaches
• Be more proactive in regularly looking for and following  through on coaching opportunities with their teams
• Contribute to increased staff satisfaction with respect to coaching-relevant metrics such as ‘my manager helps me improve my performance’ or ‘my manager is interested in my development’
• Quickly and more accurately identify team members with high potential and provide them with coaching to increase their engagement, career satisfaction and sense of purpose
• Use a common language and approach to coaching within your organisation
• Assist in building a coaching culture
• Become more aware of the longer term opportunities for staff career development in your organisation
• Gain greater confidence in effective use of coaching in their leadership role.
